CLIENT: TWO TREES LOCATION: BROOKLYN, NY

Re-engineering a 17-story high-rise with a
tight construction schedule

60 Water St is a large multi-family high-rise snuggled against the Brooklyn Bridge in Dumbo that faces the picturesque NYC skyline. Shehadi Commercial Flooring was tasked with helping to re-engineer the flooring specification (literally) from the ground up. With an aggressive construction schedule, we knew we had to propose a wood flooring solution that could withstand the rigors of a fast build, and address the challenges of changeable environmental conditions.

Sourcing self-leveling material, sound mitigating underlayment, and a wood floor that could perform despite the job site conditions being less than ideal was difficult, but not impossible. In the end, Shehadi Commercial Flooring proved themselves to be worthy partners and delivered 180k sf of wood flooring without any bumps in the road.
