Renovating a 1900’s flag manufacturing plant
into a luxury apartment complex.

Transforming the former Annin Flag Company’s 1900’s building into a brand new 112 unit, 5-story residential collection was a challenge that our team at Shehadi took head on. Due to the historic nature of the building, careful coordination and attention were required to meet historic guidelines during construction, making this project no easy task.

From supplying NuWud floors for the units to installing engineer wood in the lobby and carpet tile in the corridors, our team was involved in each stage of this project from conception to completion.

The new plans saw the existing Annin building transform into 52 loft-style apartment units, including the addition of a penthouse roof top terrace, as well as a new building which houses 60 additional units. Whether we were self leveling the building or install 475 Stair Treads, our project managers and installation team worked with extreme attention to detail.

Self-Leveling of lower level in Building A using Laticrete’s Drytek Levelex

475 Stair Treads w/Risers using Johnsonite’s Rubber Stair Tread/Riser Combo in a Hammered pattern, color Charcoal

1,780 SF of Mohawk’s Hot & Heavy Metal LVT; Color So Fetch on the landings
700 SF of ¾” solid walnut in a 5” wide plank in the Clubroom on the rooftop of Building A
